A leading online gaming platform required specialised support to ensure the reliability and performance of their RabbitMQ messaging system, which is crucial for managing real-time data, processing high volumes of transactions, and ensuring seamless communication across multiple services. The platform faced significant challenges, including maintaining high availability in clustered environments, optimising queue mirroring for better performance, and resolving frequent disk and memory alarms that threatened service continuity.
Our Solution
We improved cluster partition handling by switching from an “ignore” to a “pause minority” configuration, which prevented data inconsistencies during network partitions. We also optimised queue mirroring policies to strike a balance between performance and reliability, reducing system load while maintaining high availability. Additionally, we resolved disk and memory alarms by adjusting resource limits and advising on increased hardware provisioning to manage peak loads effectively.
