A leading insurance provider required specialised support to maintain the reliability and efficiency of their RabbitMQ messaging system, which is critical for processing customer data, managing policy transactions, and ensuring real-time communication across their platforms. The company faced challenges such as recurring memory usage spikes on specific nodes, unsynchronised mirrors in HA queues, and difficulties in managing network partitions that led to cluster instability.

We focused on identifying the root causes of memory spikes, particularly on individual nodes, and implemented strategies to optimise memory management across the cluster. To address the unsynchronised mirrors in their HA queues, we recommended transitioning to Quorum queues for enhanced resilience and provided guidance on improving queue availability during node shutdowns. Additionally, we helped the company resolve network partition issues by advising on cluster management practices that ensured nodes could rejoin the cluster without causing disruptions.

We implemented targeted strategies to effectively manage memory usage, reducing the frequency of memory spikes and preventing service outages.

Transitioned from classic mirroring to Quorum queues, improving the stability and reliability of message delivery across the cluster, particularly during node shutdowns and network partitions.
